Migraine Headeache - usually caused by sub-occipital tendon rupture, leading to muscle spasms and occipital nerve irritation. It is treated with monthly injections and/or CGR receptor medication.
Cervicogenic Occipital Headache - usually caused by the upper cervical spine (C3 and above) instability from facet joint capsule ruptures, and is usually effectively treated with fluoroscope-guided facet joint injections.
Cervical Facet Syndrome - (neck pain with or without referring to the shoulder), caused by facet joint capsule relaxation/instability, with or without disc disease or spondylosis. The neck pain may be treated with steroid joint injections to reduce pain temporarily.
Thoracic and Lumbar Facet Syndromes - (mid-back pain and low-back pain), usually caused by facet joint capsule rupture and subsequent joint instability and muscle spasms. The are treated with facet joint injections with steroids.
Frontal Chest Wall Pain - caused by sternochondral or costochondral junction sprain/irritation, and is usually treated with steroid injections into the junctions.
Lateral Chest Wall Pain - caused by costotransverse joint sprain and instability and is usually treated with steroid injections.
Lower Rib Cage Pain - caused by chondro-chondral junction sprain and is treated with steroid chondro-chondral junction blocks.
Sacroiliac Joint Pain - usually caused by SI joint capsule rupture and subsequent joint instability. The pain may be treated with steroid joint injections that usually provide with a short-term benefit.
Peripheral Joint Pain - caused by different forms of arthritis and effects the joints of the hands and feet, lower back, shoulder, knee, ankle, wrist, elbow. The lower back is treated with injections.
Disc Herniation, Radiculopathy and Spinal Stenosis are managed by a series of epidural steroid injections.
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (RSD) is managed by sympathetic nerve blocks.
